Definitely doesn't sound "upper middle class" to me. According to Wikipedia, an "upper middle class" household has about U$ 120.000 in income - that means that splurging on a Michelin meal for 4 would be 4% of the m

JQuery is great for some frontend glue, but I'd try to learn some of the new frameworks. I tried my hand at React, it's doable, and I like it for a prototype, but I'm going to try Vue.js next because it's supposed to be

Whatever tech you choose, practice is the best preparation.. I've been VERY impressed by several young people that, through consistent practice, got pretty good very fast, and I hope they can become inspiration: https://mxst

There are a LOT of ways to game taxes if you're either an S-Corp or a C-Corp (without going into stuff like overseas, disguising personal expenses as business expenses, and other classics), and the original papeer has a very telling gr

Yes, and that's because they're challenging Piketty's hypothesis that capital gains are outperforming wages, so they don't care about accumulated wealth (that could have been accumulated through either method).

Agreed, but it definitely could be argued that the pendulum has swung way to the other side, and that many diagnoses and procedures that could be performed by someone with 1 or 2 years of education are performed at a substantially higher co

In my country, Uber service is far better than taxis by a mile... many taxi drivers are poorly-paid employees which don't care much, and they're basically immune to any kind of incentive or threat. On the other hand, Uber drivers

I always tell that to young people that look at their peers and see them very well paid - not 140k here in Uruguay, more like 30k but most other young people would be lucky to hit 15k. However, an accountant, doctor, lawyer or other profess

Or Uruguay here in South America, or New Zealand... You can actually emigrate here very easily. Maintaining an U.S. lifestyle OTOH is much more expensive, but healthcare is a BIG plus. And you WILL pay a lot of taxes - Healthcare-only taxes

I agree about Maps and Mail, but I disagree about your assesment of Microsoft only failing - they had quite a few misses, but you're discrediting their hits. The XBox's innovation (according to developers) was in making game devel

I guess that's a case of YMMV, here in Uruguay Google wins on several of these. OpenStreetMap wins on street numbers and other, because they're maintained by the municipal government.
