One of my favorite example of this kind of oversight is the audi "e-tron" : in french, an "étron" is literally a turd... (it seems that this website doesn't catch it yet though)

I don't know if it is common, but that's exactly what my engineering school did : no graphical calculator allowed through all the cursus. They would provide a "basic+ calculator" (a basic calculator with square, square r

You might want to update your fdroid database or turn on "show beta versions" in the settings, as I see and have the v0.19.5 installed from fdroid.

I used Sandboxie 10 years ago, when I was still using Windows. It is a really neat piece of software. I'm glad it went open-source instead of simply dying because of lack time and/or interest. I had a surprising hard time to find

Your projects look amazing, contragulation ! You could fade the led to depict the train distance to the station ? Like that, you would have a nice transition between stations, and if there are multiples train incoming/going from it you

So basically you expect to keep your job by staying out of touch for two whole months ? I perfectly understand that he feared the precautions in his workplace were not enough, so did they apparently as stated in the article, but when you&#x

There is a legal slowdown for emulating x86 (and x86_64 I beleive), because of Intel patents. That's why Microsoft's first attempt to ARM was such a disaster, with no compatibility with Windows' huge ecosystem. That's wh

I think it is a really interesting turn of events, as the Lattice bitstream (for FPGA) has been the first to be successfully reverse-engineered, and to have a trully opensource toolchain. The fact that the company is cool with this is unpre

It's described as crashing in loop, even on restart. For people who don't know how to reflash/wipe from recovery, it render their phone useless, so as well as bricked. I'm curious to see the post-mortem on this one, i&#x

Python's list sum are funny like that. x+=y is equivalent to x.append(y) x = x + y creates a new list, then assign it to x (highly inefficient in a loop)

I like how there is the comment "you can't forget \0" for r[12] in the first example... but he forget it in the second haha. You should use calloc in that case !

No, not everyone is a QWERTY user. French are AZERTY[1], we are 70 millions. There is a really small fraction of the population able to type on QWERTY. Germans are QWERTZ, they are 86 millions. Scandinavians have their own QWERTY variation,

I don't know about 4k60Hz screens actually. I'm not sure they are in the low/mid range price point (yet) ? I was responding more generally about HDMI and it's usefulness.

I'm always confused by those statements, that it's rare to find a monitor without DP. I live in France, and actually HDMI is the norm here. All low-range and mid-range screens are HDMI only, and it's rare to find a DP actual

You should check the project gadgetbridge[1]. Its aim is close to what you want to achieve : an opensource app to retrieve data and monitor without sending it god know where. I have used it for 2 years now with an amazfit bip, which was nev
