+1 to all of this, and adding in that I use the Gen 10 on Pop OS and it works just as well. The default trackpoint accel is a bit much for me, so I just have this set to run on login: > xinput set-prop 'TPPS/2 Elan TrackPoint&#

This is exactly why I enjoy cooking so much. It produces something of value from raw materials, and, if I do everything well enough, other people get to derive joy from my effort. :-)

I'm not sure about the AMD option, but I can speak to the Intel trade-offs. H-Series CPUs are designed to be the "laptop workhorse" at a TDP of about 47W - whereas most laptops built for battery life nowadays use U-Series CP

Yup - I heard about this from a friend of mine. The offer seemed pretty good: lump sum 4 - 9 months base salary depending on tenure, extra for COBRA for 12 weeks, benefits through end of the year, etc.

Same story for me - but we are on Ting (MVNO of Verizon). They have great customer service, have always been really competitively priced (our two-phone family is usually right around $55/mo), and the cell service has been great.

I think the same advice works for Chromebooks. Sure, you're still being "tracked" - but let's be honest, that's happening on the web for most users one way or another. In most cases, seniors need a consistent, rel

I also miss the days of good ole server-side rendered applications. I'm not sure the author's history or work experience, but, if I built something like this, I'd likely find it extremely cathartic compared to most tech stac

You should get a gastric-emptying study done. I had similar symptoms and was diagnosed with gastroparesis. Unfortunately, it's one of those "not much we can do" situations, but knowing what the underlying issue was allowed

This post [Svelte: A component library for building interactive node-based flow diagrams (svelvet.io)] is named incorrectly. Svelte is a "framework" - whereas this is Svelvet. This looks awesome though! Thank you for sharing!

I was actually really impressed with this individual! For someone who has less than a year of experience, they're showing quite a bit of initiative, drive, and curiosity - which really are what make or break engineers as they develop.
