First time viewers can see a page freely. So all you have to do is clear your cookies after every page load and you wont be bothered. lol. But yeah, posting a review also gets rid of the banner permanently.

Nah, the first option, not a central repo. That's a cool idea though, maybe I should do that for irl todo lists. With markdown, it's probably easier / better than using notepad or discord or whatever.

Personally I use github issues / prs as documentation for future me. It's a happy side effect that it builds my portfolio (same for if someone actually finds it useful).

Just readability for me. It's easier to read if the function is defined where it's used rather than before. apply(lst, () => { ... ... }) instead of def naming_is_hard(): ... ... apply(lst,

Same, python is my goto language so its (minor-ish) deficiencies annoy me a lot. - Annotating nested JSON objects is a pain in the ass. You need a bazillion intermediary classes. - Sometimes you need a 3ish line lambda, because you have an

Being able to recycle the vps for other self-hosted apps is nice (eg vpn, dns-level adblock, etc). Also not having to learn another tech for something you'd only have to set up once every year or few years.

Yeah, sinking thousands of hours into that game has probably brainwashed me in one way or another. I'd like to say the art is less noisy than the more common low-rez styles (narrower color palettes, less shading, easier to separate th

Personally I've seen the opposite: video sites on Chromium that would eat up 300MB+ and an additional 1~3MB of leaked mem per action. Whereas the same site on FF would happily sit at 20~30MB.

Personally I don't want to have to open the browser to get more detailed docs. I'd rather have it next to the code it's referencing. (Especially if it's just a side project where sphinx or whatever is overkill.)

I've always wanted something similar to git blame for this. Where I can add notes to sets of lines and toggle whether I want the IDE to display them. Sort of like writing on those overhead projector sheets and saving it to a nearby .no

When I first graduated (with a BSEE from some shitty local uni), the only CS project I had on my resume was some ML research I published as an undergrad. I did do a lot of hobby projects in Python / some JS, but nothing was presentable
