Was curious what this looked like so did a google. From the wiki, far lands ("spongy walls of terrain") aren't caused by precision loss but integer overflow in the terrain generation. https://minecraft.wiki/w&

Kind of annoying the article writes "What is [a semantic layer] anyway?" twice but never defines it directly.

It's often something that was mentioned in the first post's comment section. I guess someone found it cool enough to want to share.

It's probably refreshing because iOS is aggressive about killing websockets, even if you only backgrounded safari for a few seconds. And it's easier to do a reload than determine which messages were missed. It's hard to even

Can't edit my comment anymore but for anyone that's played Factorio, it feels a lot like that. Both in the way you slowly switch out hand-fed systems for automated systems that build on each other and in how you get a unique base

I've botted in a few MMORPG games and the appeal is that it's basically a new perspective on the game. Also makes it more of a technical challenge than a test of mechanical skill or free time / patience. It still feels like a

/b/ is short for random so kind of seems like it's meant to siphon off / contain shitposts that would be distracting on other boards.

Not to mention they occupy totally different mediums (anime vs visual novel). Kind of like using a random movie cover when you're talking about a music album.

Ah good catch. I also remember expecting the story to comment on how, like most dating sims*, there's no male characters (or really any characters in DDLC's case) except for the MC and being disappointed it didn't. Well I thi

Got curious about the actual distribution so ran some queries on vndb [1]. Looks like the median renpy novel (with 100+ votes) takes 250min to complete with the ludicrously long ones [2] bringing the average up to 503min. engine

Honestly I wouldn't recommend DDLC to someone new to VNs. It's hilarious but it parodies the dating sim genre by amping up the defining tropes to 11 before it then (minor spoiler, see footnote [2]). So you kind of need familiarity

For context, visual novels are basically ~novella sized stories that come with visuals like static backgrounds + a few dozen renders per character. The character renders tend to be mostly the same, with small variations in facial expression

Triggering an animation based on what's under the cursor sounds interesting. Like moving to a loop declaration starts a chase-your-tail animation. Or moving to a function signature gives the pet some paint and paper.

Banning by TPM also makes ban evasion pretty expensive. At which point the cheater has to either buy a new mobo or solder a new TPM chip onto their mobo (not always possible). Though I guess at some point a sloppy vendor will leak TPM keys
