Agreed. And to add to that: The more fancy the statistics have to be, the less robust are the results.

That's not how I read it. Anyway, here is my guess for the two questions: 1) The recommended temperature in the lab is based on other factors than the mice's prefered temperature. E.g. comfort of the scientists and technicians,

Thank you. This should be the top comment. If there is any increase due to the lock down, my speculation would be, that it is related to less cars on the streets.

Apart from the other reasons pointed out by others: Single stage to orbit is sexy, but multiple stage to orbit is inherently more efficient and I see no reason why it Would be more expensive if you reuse all stages.

If they do only 10% you could just fire them, at least in most places in the US, afaik.

At least in Germany, afaik, it is partly a building code thing. Afaik, it counts as a mobile home, so you don’t need permission to build it, even if you never intend to move it.

I’m so happy about this. Just a week ago it seemed like they would subsidies the purchase of cars with internal combustion engines. Now they subsidies battery electric vehicle purchases by 10,000 EUR and the Generation and use of H2 with 9

Same in Switzerland. Ordering mechanical components without a phone call or at least email exchange is often impossible. In some ways that's useful, you get free expert consultancy, but sometimes I feel like they almost don't want

Is there an app that I can use to create similar sounds as AstroAlex directly on my iPhone? Lemur (which was used here) seems to best just a remote for synthesizers, correct? Also, 25 bucks is quite steep for just playing around.

Yes, but weight (which is higher in electric cars) does not influence air resistance. Tesla’s btw have record low air resistance.

Yes! Bike insurance is the way to go once you have a nice bike. I don't and carry a big lock. But I have friends with quality bikes (~1500 EUR) and they park at the train station with laughable locks because it's insured.

You seem to have incredibly bad luck. I got 2 bikes stolen in 20 years and I think its similar for my friends (all central Europe).

I also drink decaf and in my experience (Europe mostly Switzerland), the majority of coffee shops offer it. Just ask. The selection at the supermarket is very limited here, though.

AFAIK, in Israel women serve less time and in less dangerous roles. The only culture that I know of, which seems to have somewhat equal burden of war fighting are the Peshmerga/Kurds.

Yes. That’s one possible explanation. Interestingly quite a lot of people might be somewhat immune to the new Corona virus due to anti bodies from previous Corona cold infections. More than 30% showed such antibodies in a recent study. htt

> Yeah, no. This is also completely speculative at this point. There is no strong technical reason for why it should be the case, given how viruses work... Yes it is. If the initial amount of virus exposure is low, the immune system has
