> LVCS...is available in industry-standard light blue Is this tongue-in-cheek, or is there a reason manufacturers care about the color?

Unlock via Bluetooth is perfectly viable without internet connection (unless you mean unlocking it for someone else?). Remote start and temp control should probably work from a few hundred feet away. If only phones had a longer range local

This could replace oracles in some cryptocurrency systems. E.g. a betting market could pay out based on a game winner verified directly from the league's website.

Surprised to see electric cars on the list of lowest other driver deaths. I always thought their additional weight made them more dangerous to other drivers.

Mutually assured job security. Reminds me of some experiences I've had going back and forth with an anti-bot team, as an anti-anti-bot team.

How will they enforce this? There's no easy test if an LLM write a given post. Perhaps they can post honeypot questions.

So you think it's bot that's intentionally adding spelling mistakes? I think it's more likely a human in an altered mental state.

Yes, "panchromatic" is probably the more accurate term for it. It's just a camera with no color filters and a known spectral response curve that's high enough across the frequencies being imaged.
46.
by FriedPickles 2y ago
Sure that would work. The higher the ratio of controlled/ambient light, and the slower you can do the sweep, the better for SNR of the hyperspectral image.

An imager/camera: by illuminating a scene (or light box) solely with the tunable LED, sweeping it across the spectrum, and capturing it with an achromatic camera.

I didn't realize we even had a discrete LED tunable across the visible spectrum, let alone a Micro-LED array of them. Anybody know where I can buy one? I want to build a hyperspectral imager.

It can produce all the colors of the rainbow. But no magenta. Perhaps they can quickly pulse the LED enough between multiple wavelengths.

Yes, it could cook an egg. But to boil an egg at 160ºf you'd have to be at the top of Everest.

Maybe it's the first to technically IPO, but it's not the first to be listed because OKLO just went public via merger with Sam Altman's SPAC AltC last week.

My time-of-use rate plan for PG&E (EV2-A) drops to its cheapest price at 12am–I'm guessing that's the cause of the spike. I start my car charging at 12:05am. I wish they offered an even more dynamic rate plan.
