That's fine, but by then the Cybertruck will likely be outdated. So I don't understand the assertion that the Cybertruck was "built for Mars" when there's no humans on Mars. And there's no evidence it's fu

Referring to GP, is there any other type of HN comment than one that completely ignores the human emotion, instead wanting to focus purely on technical and specific pedantry?

True, but I think we can be charitable and forgive Americans for defaulting to "apps" versus actual infrastructure, given the poor state of public transportation in the US and the lack of exposure to quality publicly funded infras

TypeScript isn't compiled though, it's transpiled back to JavaScript. I agree with the sense that it eliminates classes of errors, however.

Agreed. I really tire of flat, authoritative statements with no room for context or clarification. Perhaps that's what's needed to succeed in a VC world, but it's the easiest way to get me to dismiss the author's opinion

Isn't the free market a perfect solution for this? Don't rent from companies that refuse to fix damage and eventually they will be forced to compete or will sink. I personally only rent, when I have to, from companies to at least

Pointed it at a project directory and asked it to find and fix an intentionally placed bug without referencing any filenames. It seemed to struggle finding any file or constructing a context about the project unless specifically asked. FWIW

Assuming this is something like Claude Code (guess we'll find out soon), I've had generally more success with Gemini 2.5 than Claude Opus for the various little refactorings and minor tasks I wanted to do. At large scale, complex

Generally no, but if you gaslight yourself into thinking you're the greatest democracy in the world with no equal and you need no patches or bugfixes, you can achieve a lot without any real checks or balances.

I agree completely. Try to mention that on this site though and you get replies such as "we're not the same as other social media sites!", or some variant of the community here being the smartest in the room. At tech? Maybe.

Agreed. Typically my debugger use case is when I'm exploring a potentially unknown range of values at a specific point in time, where I also might not know how to log it out. Having the LLM manage all of that for me and get it 95% corr
