Only if the firmware implements the algorithms. OpenWRT is your best bet for this: I have it running on a TL-WDR3600 quite well.

Last time I checked, Proxmox supports passthrough pretty well. It's just using qemu/kvm under the hood anyway.

I don't know about you, but I had long switched to CFL's before LED bulbs came around. CFLs are definitely not as efficient as LEDs, but at least they're still a fraction of the power that incandescent bulbs use.

Quadcopters never have variable pitch props, they just vary the speed of them to vary thrust. Moreover, thrust from the bottom or top doesn't really matter (look up the Pendulum Rocket Fallacy)
