Your issue is that you're misunderstanding the parent comment's claim. Izacus didn't claim that Windows laptop trackpads weren't bad -- the only claim made was that Apple trackpad drivers were worse . I've used a f

You're completely correct, and it's unfortunate that you're being downvoted. I'm guessing this is due to idiots who have never used Windows on a Mac laptop and think they know more than they do.

Completely disagree -- the Apple trackpad drivers on windows are awful, and on a laptop, most of your time will probably be spent using a trackpad. Trackpad++, which the author of the article mentions, can help, but it's a horrible pro

It's really unfortunate that they were taken down. Sure, there exist paid services like Spotify, but when there's only licensable content you miss out on all weird obscure stuff that Grooveshark had, like video game soundtracks, c

I'm still hoping that they'll release this for Mac OS (more competition for cross platform browsers would be a good thing!) But so far it doesn't seem like that's on the table...

Exactly. It is very clearly wrong for companies to act this way, but at the same time, just like your example, it is also pragmatic . Clearly there's a problem, and my question is: how can we fix it?

I've read about this sort of discrimination in many industries outside of tech. However, what I'm curious about is this: what is the likelihood that someone this age will retire in < 5 years? If that likelihood is high, I could

The title seems a bit hyperbolic. Google still controls the "real" Android; without the Google Apps, Android is missing quite a bit[1]. Sure, bundling OneDrive might help Microsoft take a few users from Google drive, but I would h

Interesting, I wonder if this will will end up gaining enough momentum to become a standard, similarly to how SPDY ended up essentially becoming HTTP/2.

Well, given some of the past actions of the MPAA[1][2], I suppose this attitude is altogether unsurprising. The sooner the MPAA fades away and is replaced with something less archaic, the better. [1]: https://torrentfreak.com

Ah, I remember the "white board" wall. Back when the Facebook API came out in 2007-ish, I implemented a functioning lookalike using the API -- at one point, it had around 17,000 users who had logged in, including Mark Zuckerberg h

This review seems to indicate that the 2015 MacBook has similar issues to the original 2008-era MacBook air: lots of potential, but still worth waiting for a 2nd generation product to work out some of the issues. Personally, though, I'
