When can we expect to see it in macOS / Windows? Any big actor did already commit to it (Abelton, Cubase)?

There are now projects such as Dear ImGui / Nuklear - Immediate Mode Graphical User interface that are just that: GPU accelerated UI. Here is something I am coding with Dear ImGui: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbZsE7

Am I right to understand that this vulnerability only works when Bluetooth is in discoverable mode? If yes, then most phones are safe even if they have this vulnerability, it's only when you go in the Bluetooth menu that you are at ris

I spent the week-time trying it. I did install it on a USB drive. I started from a Carbon Copy Cloned version of my main OS that I updated. I had to give up, I tried to update a project I am working on and after a 1-hour git pull would not

Because MIDI 2.0 is bi-directional, will it allow us to exchange preview icons for each individual MIDI note? I am working on VJ software and we want to display the video loop associated with each MIDI key...

I am working on VJ software, we are missing the capacity to associate preview icons for music events. I hope OSC 2.0 would allow that with application-level protocol by example... We tried to convince the music community 10 years ago but co

FFmpeg filters are real gems, you can find all details here: https://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-filters.html While the command line seems horrible, once you start playing with them it can be really fun. As always, start simple and b

Yes, you describe your UI from the CPU code and it gets accumulated into a draw list. Differents backends (OpenGL, Direct X, Metal ...) sends them to the GPU for display. It's close to what a game is doing.

With imGui you must fully describe your interface at each frame. Because it's fully GPU accelerated it does not cost that much and run very fluently at 60 FPS.

I still miss QuickTime, it's not even closely replaced by AVFondation: it just supports a few codecs, cannot be extended by plugins, terrible support for video acquisition... sniff

For me, I need to run the application from the terminal and it works. I do something like: cd /Users/..../glChAoS.P-1.4.0 ./glChAoSP_OSX And I see a beautiful fractal!

That was the missing part! Launching the app from the applescript still does not work but launching it from the terminal does the trick. The error of the applescript is "sh: ./glChAoSP_OSX: No such file or directory (127)". I

You can have a Punk attitude in the software tech scene, many years ago, I was one of the first to write a blitter that could scale a QuickTime movie decompressing in real-time 320x240 to full-screen 640x480. To do that I had to use floatin
