Try tldr find or tldr tar for examples. Use fzf on history to find past success. Consider a toollike ouch [1] or fd instead of find. [1] https://crates.io/crates/ouch

The Apple macOS model of implementing useful features from apps (in ST's case: plugins) stands out as long as there are reasonable trade offs. Without it, you have to use so much glue for a good experience. So, look at the very popular

I got a burn-out and lost my job. In the meantime my license expired. Once I get a job again (if ever) I will once again buy a license. I'll give zed a look. One thing I miss with ST is remote editing.

My Fossil HR Collider lasted 4 weeks. It could do much (but not all) of the stuff my Pebble Classic/Pebble 2 could do. Both could control music during workout, pick up calls, put radios off. What I liked most about it is it could disgu

For me, a couple of years ago a vertical mouse almost instantly solved my RSI which I only once had severe before in 40+ years of computer usage (that was due to physical work, though they attempted to gaslight me into being a heavy compute

i9 power efficient, OK lol. If you want power efficient, get a Kontron. Below 3W idle we can talk. My MS-01 does 16W idle.

It is a reoccurring joke, aka a meme (before internet memes were internet memes). If you liked it, it builds on repetition and nostalgia. If you disliked it, you won't like when repeated. On top of that, whether you liked it or not it

For gaming, absolutely. But macOS and Apple devices aren't tailored towards that, and their mice are oddballs anyway: one button, and heavily tailored towards gestures. They're a mouse and touchpad in one. I quit using it when I g

Before performing a mod like this (or generally opening up your device) put your device in battery safe mode [1] [1] https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/How+to+Enable+Steam+Deck+Batter...

Back in days (around twenty years ago) I used NoMachine on Debian/SPARC to do exactly this: run GNOME remotely. Waypipe nowadays allows the same, but I don't think it has resuming support.

French and Brits do a lot of things the other way around, like imperial system, ATON/NATO, driving on the other side of the road. Just mentioned the age bracket. Kids who are younger or older are outliers.

A couple of years ago (2-3), I had a fully functioning Linux desktop with Wayland and SwayWM. Even automation worked, key rebinds worked, touchpad (approx like it works on macOS). Lots of software with great performance, too. Like Alacritty

I own a Mudi v1, it is Chinese and 'just runs OpenWrt' (with mods). I had to use such device for a previous job (not w/eSIM tho). Battery life was good, but now not so much, and battery isn't user replaceable.

My rule of thumb is: not more or less than AliExpress, though Prime is a bit reassuring. I got Chinese tech which gives me skin rashes, or smells really bad. The advantage of Amazon though, is that I can sent back items without much hassle.

You cannot trust a human to avoid buying crap on Amazon but like I said with Prime the only cost is time (and, to be fair: Co2 footprint). Dynamic CVV would mean you'd have to authorize the payment. If amount seems off, decline. To be

I had a N810 and a N900. Had a Sharp Zaurus SL-C1000 before that, and an iRiver H340. The iRiver was fantastic, but heavy (due to HDD), single purpose, and offline. Also, 40 GB ended up being too little but back then it was _huge_. Nowadays
