   How much did FB save on due options by forcing founders of their big acquisitions out? I think for WhatsApp it was like 800 million that was conditional on the monetization.

   Micron is in this situation now. It is under threat from UMC, which got ahold of tech by way of MMT joint venture. There are three mainland competitors as well with local government sponsorship. Just project this on CPU market.

   AMD already licensed CPUs to another manufacturer in China. Any premium spent to acquire AMD would not be worth it quite quickly.

   I haven't seen a breakdown of opposition from perspective of financial interest. Privacy noise is just a tool to get to more money and control. Unless this hole is explored, FB has plausible case to play victim.

   I am not trying to imagine a conspiracy here, but are there any forces on the investor side or outside of the company trying to unseat Zuck? The deluge of bad press seems like a concerted effort.
