You don't have to apologize for linking to a Christian website. Last I checked, Hacker News didn't have a ban on religious links.

The os module now has a new function: pipe2. Is there a reason why they didn't give it a better name, like pipe_with_flags?

This is the first article of the policy: > Debian will not knowingly distribute software encumbered by patents; Debian contributors should not package or distribute software they know to infringe a patent. That seems a bit too vague for

Funny, to me, the cloud is "near" and my computer is "far". The cloud follows me wherever I go, which I can't say for my laptop.

To see an example of an HN member who holds this misconception even after watching the interview, scroll up. It makes me really sad, both for the HN community and for the FSF.

I've come across this misconception many times even on Hacker News and FLOSS-related community sites.

Funnily enough, this is what I like most about stackoverflow. They know what they're good at, they know what use-cases the site is designed for, and they actively fight mission creep.
