I would say the best practise for modern browsers is to place this in the <head>: <script async src="script.js"></script>

I honestly thought when I saw the title that Mozilla were now killing Firefox OS for Internet of Things, in addition for Firefox OS for phones. Turns out, the title was misleading. Plus, it's not the title of the article.

Sorry, man. This is a pet peeve of mine, as you can see from my comment history. And I'm not the only one, those comments often get quite a few upvotes. I can see how it must be frustrating to launch something only to have a comment li

Can the mods edit the title? Mozilla officially stopped their development efforts of Firefox OS on smartphones, not the brand in general.

Here's another reason: If you're providing iframe or Javascript embeds for people to paste on other websites, (like YouTube and Vimeo do for their videos), you better be using HTTPS. If you don't, your embeds won't work

Get a Wifi Pineapple device and show them how easy it is to do a MITM attack. A demonstration might make them care.

Because all apps are sandboxed on Android, it's hard for an app to fiddle with the settings. But desktop applications can fiddle with Firefox settings, so I can see why Mozilla don't want to allow even a setting.

When of the about pages says that the photos are on a GitHub repo, which sounds really cool, until you follow the link and the repo hasn't been shared yet. Hopefully it's just a matter of time before it is shared. http:/

"Complaining after the sale is stupid." I'm really tired of this argument. Just because the sale wasn't made under duress doesn't mean that we should never complain about the sale afterwards. By that logic, you shou

My understanding is that concatenation will be become an anti-pattern with http/2, but not `<script async..>`, `<script defer..>`, or loadCSS.

Even when using a framework that has username/password authentication already, you have to worry about whether your confirmation emails are getting sent properly and are not blocked. So, no, it's not simple.

The community will never be able to implement BrowserID in the browser without Mozilla's permission. This is the missing piece that would have made BrowserID awesome, without it, there's little point, you might as well use Google&

I'm so disappointed in Mozilla. What gets me is that even in this announcement, they place the blame on the community "due to low, declining usage", instead of owning up to the fact that they never implemented BrowserID in Fi

Sorry to side-track, but the percentage of people who abstain from sex until marriage or death is far higher than 0.001%, so the comparison isn't really fair.

Obviously. But how are you supposed to monitor your children's electronics, when they are few good tools to do so, and how are you supposed to educate them, when the technology is designed to obscure the dangers?
