I installed the Chrome extension (direct link to original Chrome extension, probably not a good idea to install it) with the idea of checking out the source code. You don't need to install chrome extensions to look at their source, you ca

Good TVs are very expensive and people tend not to upgrade them very frequently (10+ years seems commonplace) This would give Apple a 10+ year lock-in to their ecosystem. They could then sell iPads as controllers and additional displays.

Between memristor based local storage/cache, ... I don't see much reason for having hard disks, software, and data in our local computers for very long. These apps will still be stored (permanently cached as a web-app) and running on the

You're conflating two different things: Local Storage/caching, and the medium it is stored on, spinning disks. The data may live in the cloud, but it will be heavily cached locally. We'll still need several GB or TB of local storage, be it

It's a pity the +25GB plan for $2.49 isn't as good a deal. It's $1.20/GB/year compared to ~$0.60/GB/year for all the others. It should be $1.25/month - $15/year. Glad I got grandfathered in with the +20GB for $5/year plan. Here's all the pr

Looking at chrome's task manager, after just loading the page it's memory use grows from 60MB to 260MB before falling back to 60MB, repeating every 4-5 seconds. That seems a bit wasteful.

Won't webkit drop the prefix once things are standardised and then sites will either be broken or have to drop the prefix to o, thereby working in all browsers?

Surely once the feature is standardised webkit stops supporting the feature with the -webkit- prefix so sites will be forced to update their css. Or does webkit continue to support the features with the -webkit- prefix even when they'll wor
