Even so, the fact that this could cause such confusion is a valid point, and more care need to be taken to differentiate the purpose and situation for each. It's a software problem, not a user problem. Of course you might agree with th

If I ever got minus points for using github rather than gitlab in an interview, I think my opinion of the workplace would be that they would rather focus on minute details rather than actual problem solving and social skills.

I've yet to see a graphics card which stopped being supported in reasonable terms. Except if you count 3dfx or other really old stuff, at which point it gets silly. Or awesome, guess it's kinda retro by now.

I don't know where they got that idea from, both in Denmark and Norway it isn't like that at all in most places. The grass is greener I guess.

Exactly, and besides, if you want to write secure software it is also mostly a development process thing, and not just what programming language you write it with.

It's quite arrogant, not very inviting and might "push" developers away from actually trying the software. Even though it's just his opinion it shouldn't really be included in the readme.

Agreed, not to mention how many of the frameworks and tools you would use in the .net world but on .net core either isn't fully implemented on linux, performs worse than on windows and generally is risky since it's not really test

From my understanding, the article is about leveraging clojurescript serverside on nodejs. Then someone asks why just not write in clojure serverside on the jvm. I just took some example languages, maybe I shouldn't have as it polluted

Well, there is an OpenJDK version that azul systems make called zulu, which is open source and free from oracle. The jvm is still a really good runtime. Java is a way more consistent language than javascript. Other languages running on top

Valid points, though I would consider the requirements for writing really secure software quite high, so I do not think most open source projects could meet such standards. Maybe it could be compared to developing mission critical software,
