Well, it was a good reading until "Facebook Censored A Nude Painting, And It Could Change The Site Forever" . So, I'll leave that here: "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no atte

I've been thinking of the same changes for a few months. We are running on MongoDB with a few M entries, and around 10GB of data. We use Scala and ReactiveMongo on the application side. So, my main fear is we're going to have a lo

I don't really understand how you can be "pushed" to tweet a picture and then make a blog post about it, without feeling to be in a vengeful holy war. Reporting a bad behavior to the conference organizer is ok. But, I don

I like the idea of using graphics to introduce functional programming to beginners. From experience, I think taking the risk of introducing key concepts in an visually appealing way is much more effective than using classic examples (calcul

I share your vision. However, I think getting asm.js a good DOM access definitively coming on 2), because it's an easy way to get visual feedback from anything running in a browser. Oh, and thanks for the very enjoyable link :)

I can relate to your pain. I came back to hardcore Scala, 2 years after a very quick introduction to functional programming. But, in the end, every seconds of head banging was absolutely worth it. Once you step into The Immutable Functional

What is even more embarrassing, is the lack of proper acknowledgment from the French Telecommunication provider (Bouygues Telecom?) regarding the safety of their customers' data.
