Thousands in the Middle East died from Obama's presidency. At a certain point you start to think that the "lesser of two evils" strategy just shifts the playing field to be ever-increasing in its evil across the board.

Qt is cross-platform, very stable, and has sane Python bindings. No other reasonable choice (imo).

There is a tree directly outside of the window right next to my bed. In the morning, I watch the variety of birds (changing with the seasons) flit around the branches, socializing with each other. It's simple, but a highlight of my day

It might be fun/interesting to pipe pieces transcribed to MIDI into your system and see what falls out. I'm sure it'll be nonsense, but perhaps fun nonetheless. (e.g. http://www.piano-midi.de/chopin.htm )

Actually we do this in the lab I work in. Look up laser ablation of neurons in C. elegans.

Do you have web blocking on safari enabled? When a friend and I tried this, there was no way to block individual sites that did not also block many sites with seemingly arbitrary rules (stackoverflow was blocked, even though it was not on m

So why don't you start to tackle them? Problems get solved when real actual people do hard work, not when some ephemeral "they" decides it is time.

You're looking at a specific term that has caught on, of course there is a spike. The ancestral comments are talking about the idea of disinformation, which I'm guessing has been around as long as humans started talking to each ot

This is not so much a review of the book, but a summary of it. Coincidentally, I'm reading this book right now - my advice would be to read the actual book as opposed to this summary. It is much more lucid, and gives you a deeper sense

I made an Elasticsearch querying tool that lets you construct multiple dependent queries. If I hadn't taken an Algorithms class, I wouldn't have thought to use a directed acyclic graph, and to topologically sort the different quer

I think this is a really bad/scary idea. A great thing about democracy is that _everyone_ has a voice. I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. In school we were taught a great deal of the Civil Rights movement, as much of it happened in our

Love this idea :). I would suggest making submitting a book easier through an online form, though. The process of forking, editing a raw JSON file, and submitting a pull request seems a little primitive, and has a high cost to those who wan
