Last I checked TV has taken a beating from Netflix and other streaming platforms. I personally never believed in new media's limitless newconomy rise to the stars. Nobody wanted to pay for newspapers anymore but web journalism was goin

Can't even imagine living in an area without 3 supermarkets in walking distance and broadband cable/4G. As someone once famously tweeted: "why would you live there". Although I guess you can see the stars at night?

To be fair the US system has advantages. Hiring and firing people is a lot easier and faster. I do think that in the long run making your employees happy and loyal is worthwhile. But treating your workers as disposable trash is also a viabl

The train system is operating near peak capacity. Any deviation from schedule is going to ruin the entire rush hour. You get miles of traffic jams only with trains.

"website blocking infrastructure" Uhm we've had that for a long time, it is how sites with CP and other illegal things are dealt with.

That's because in Europe it is very difficult to disappear under the radar. Most people show up on trial, the ones that don't are nabbed pretty quickly. The only people who have to await trial in jail are the ones that are conside

Yeah an actual trial with a jury is expensive. The DA wants to avoid that hassle. Look most people in the US can scrape together 50k for bail and a decent lawyer who tells them exactly how to handle the prosecution. The people who can'

Stop being poor. That's the only solution. Because you can go back in time 30 years and find articles like this or fast forward 30 years and find articles like this. Its not going to change.

Its a feature not a bug. Android is open, you can run anything on it that you want. Doesn't make it better or worse than iOS. Everyone needs to make an informed decision about what they want from their phone.

Yeah web designers will hate me for this but at least 15% of every site is crap that I block. I'm on a 5Gb data plan for mobile and even on the excellent 4G networks we have here sites are still too slow and unresponsive.
