Really cool, and this same approach looks like it'd work out-of-the-box with the C128 as a target, too.

If you pick a fringe package it just points way off center in empty space. It's not immediately clear what's happening. An extra dot for the center might be helpful.

As a society we really need to start reducing light pollution. It doesn't take much to shield the tops of streetlights and advertisements to at least make the majority of their light point downward.

Nice project. I built one of these once on a C128 some years ago in interpreted BASIC of all things. I let it run through a few iterations to gauge its speed, saw that it was pretty quick and didn't even bother to compile it, completel

I don't think the VR versions of social networks will help promote empathy, but the VR versions of movies can do so in the same way that ordinary movies can, but perhaps even more effectively as they give the viewer presence, too.

SQLite also does remarkably well with recovering from all manner of power loss / crashes / worst case scenarios. We created a "power loss" rig just to test this facility for one particular system. Really SQLite's bi

The NEARTA site has a lot of interesting info on disposable diapers vs. reusable ones. If you're of a technical mind start off with the analysis of SW-152c: https://www.nearta.com/Papers/SW152cAnalysis.pdf but t

Somerville is not necessarily typical, though. Not sure if it is still true, but as of a few years ago it had the highest population density in all of Massachusetts. Higher than Boston, higher than Cambridge, higher than Worcester. Introduc

Perhaps it's a little like receiving multiple life sentences -- deliberate overkill. With the multiple life sentences even if per some great stroke of luck you get one reduced or time off for good behavior, the others will keep you imp

Of course the text recognition system in the Newton (actually a trio of products working together under the hood: Rosetta, Mondello, and CalliGrapher) got to be good enough that many consider them to be among the best out there, even today.

Maybe. If within 2 generations everything has switched it'll likely be fine, although many not-easily-replaceable devices (like cars, for instance) will still use the old port. I think the concern is that everything won't be stand
