Anyone with access to either end of the pipeline had the technical capability to do this. Slip a time bomb into the pipe and have it get pumped out to sea before exploding.

At least putting in wires is easier than putting in gas pumps. Unfortunately the real obstacle is building management having to do anything at all so it wouldn't matter even if the wires were free.

The vast majority of lead used today is recycled. The rest is mined incidentally while extracting silver. I could see this happening for lithium also. Get the quantity in global circulation to the level we need and then live off that for th

North Korean men are very green too. The main thing they know to do is march in very neat lines. Most have never fired a live round in their lives, even for training.

Afghanistan didn't work for them because they couldn't hold territory after initially capturing it. I think there was one valley they had to conquer 3 times. Each time ended in what looked like a decisive victory but the moment th

In CA the ballot return envelope has a space to write who your designated person to drop it off is. Sure you can get away with leaving it blank, but why would you?

I literally can't relate to this comment at all. Interesting how the same action can be internalized so differently by different people. Going anywhere with people adds a low level of stress that is completely avoidable by going alone.

The punishment is baked into the protocol I think. If the protocol sees a node trying to create a fork that node gets spanked. I think all actions are signed now. I don't really know, I just read one article about it this week. I'

Little nitpick: it's 2/3 needed now, not 50%. If a bad actor misbehaves before controlling 2/3 then their stake gets eroded or even erased as punishment. Even merely being offline can result in stake erosion.

Piracy IS the competition in UX. D+ needs to have a UX that's close enough behind the convenience of watching through a pirated channel that it doesn't push users over the hump. Once users go over it's very hard to lure them
