It runs as a client, and I think the modules are created from the client, but I don't know what language they use, if any. Haven't tried the module creator yet.

If you know the maximum integer you can receive, you can do a sort of bucket sort, where the Nth bit in the page represents whether you have revceived number N. So yo can store as many numbers as bits you have available.

What's holding us back in our attempts to simulate a brain is that we don't know how the brain works. That's a much more important hurdle to overcome than performance, I believe.

I believe the common arguments is that memristors are more similar two neurons in that they cna be used for processing as well as storage. Not that it's a good argument, the fact that we need more kinds of pieces was never an obstacle.

Search results for terms in spanish are often not good. I assume this is the case for many non-english languages, if not for all. I often have to search for things in spanish, and Google gives em vastly superior results. For almost everythi

Theft is the substraction of goods. What you describe may be criminal behaviour, but it's not theft, the same way it's not breaking and entering.

I've read reports that the global bee population is not actually decreacing. The poplution seem to be decreasing in the USA and a few other areas in Great Britaitn and Holand, but overall there's no evidence of the world population being si

Yes, there is enough time. I currently do 35 hours as a dev and 15-20 as a student, and I think I could do 5 more hours of development. My social life would probably suffer a lot, though, as I'd have to work or study more on weekends. And I

I accidentaly upvoted this, so I may as well comment. There are few really great and engaging games, but there are out there. The Longest Journey is better written than a lot of (good) movies. Eternally Us[1] actually made me shed a tear at

I don't think it does. Just because it's perfect doesn't mean it can't be made better, or that it can't be modified to better suitit's enviroment. The gameplay, dialog and story that made it so fantastic remain, and the modifciation, if an

The Longest Journey or Deus Ex may be good choices that qualify for that criteria. But they are longer than Portal, and their aged graphics can make them unappealing.

Until two months ago, I had been cellphone-less for over a year. People around me knew this, and were often bothered by it, but most of them understood that it was my decision and that it didn't seriously impair me at working in the world.

I tend to disagree with this kind of worse-case-scenario thinking. That there's a slim possibility that something terrible will happen is not reason enough to stop doing something that will undoubtedly be of benefit. Not receiving an import

You are right, I confused NP with NP-hard. However, I think it's safe to assume that if a polynomial solution exists for a NP-hard problem, the complexity wouldn't be so incredibly high than it's better to use heuristics.

If P were to be equal to NP and we found a polynomial algorhythm to just one NP problem, then through polynomial conversion, we should be able to solve all, or at least most, NP problems in polynomial time. This would be very superior to he

Fraq was made in 2005 and it looks worse than quake 3, wich was made 6 years early (addmitedly by a big studio instead of jut one person, but the point still stands). It is possible to make games in Haskell, but it's closer to a theorical

Well, for once, it's not particulary fast, but that's not a concern for all games(it's not slow either, but it's quite hard to optimize). The real deal is that it's a completely functional language with not much support, as far as games go.

XNA is great, but your games will only be compatible with windows(and xBox). Haskell is definetely not a good idea.
