The new version is really a step up. Props to the dev team for being responsive as well. I sent them an issue during the beta, and they had pushed a fix a few days later. There's still glitches here and there, but those usually result

I would imagine most people reading HN have read at least one blog post on his site, if not many more. It's not that amazing he didn't disclose it in my opinion. I agree it could be mentioned in his profile though, just for the cu

I would be interested to hear more about the low tech ways, but I don't find Leap to be overly complex. There is a lot of math if you're on the developer side, but I think you need that level of complexity to be able to customize

The most recent commit to leapjs on GitHub was 7 days ago, and Wikipedia says they raised $30 million in January of 2013. Take that for what it's worth, but as far as I know they are doing just fine.

I've been messing around with a Leap Motion device lately, and while I was initially skeptical, there are some actions which are genuinely more pleasant than using a keyboard alone. Sure, it may not be ideal for everyday computing, but

Twitter does have a library named typeahead. I'm not sure if you meant that was obvious, or I'm just missing the point. http://twitter.github.io/typeahead.js/

It's ideas like these that inspire/challenge me to come up with something simple, and awesome. Love the idea. Hope they do well.

Completely off topic - It drives me crazy when the enter key doesn't submit forms. Especially one liners.

So what happens to planets who orbit a star that dies? It seems like they would be come orphans. That was my first thought. I know next to nothing about the Universe.

I'm using this on a couple projects and it's pretty slick. Much like the title says, your mailto links become a nice little contact form. Haven't had any problems with it so far.

I think this is great. Love the filters. It'd be nice if you could also filter by recently added. I'm currently looking for a job and it's kind of a pain to have to scan through the whole list looking for one or two new jobs

Some of the best team players are those who would do anything, for anyone, at the drop of a hat. They are the people who show up early, bust their ass, never complain, and wouldn't think twice about lending a hand whenever you ask. I h

Your hiring page is awesome. I can't comment on how you should proceed going forward, but to echo the other comments, you've obviously been doing something right. Hopefully this post will put you in touch with the right people.

I watched the first 5 or 6 videos and couldn't help but notice how unrefined they all were. Is that normal? While I liked a couple of the ideas, it just seemed like some of these were submitted after only a couple takes.

Is it poor form to be asking for job opportunities outside of the monthly hiring thread? This is coming from someone who started a "Would you hire me?" thread. Genuinely interested if this is something that is looked down upon.

As someone who has started looking for jobs recently, that sounds like a great way to hire people. It gives you a chance to interact with the candidate and see how they work. As a shameless plug, I also wrote a Chrome extension for GitHub.
