Curious question: how was the python code obfuscated ? Does there exists some obfuscation programs that obfuscate the code like that ?

I changed the server url on mines to "localhost". I control the plugs via a script on a docker container (they pilot water pumps). It works well that way.

You seem to be talking emotionally instead of rationally. But I suppose you already have a passport or a drivers licence (what if you don't drive ?). Then you just add a chip to it. This chip generates its own keys and then you can aut

Well, sorry, but on the top of my mind, I have a client that uses 10.96.0.0/16 and another that uses the whole 172.16 subnet... I don't really see how I'm setting up for these kinds of problems as these devices only talk to m

Of course it's large enough, but it's also widely used. If you use 10.11.0.0/16, then you can be sure that you'll run into a company that also uses it. And when there's a conflit between your VPN device space and yo

Actually, I have a hook on the openvpn server (on docker), that talks to the DNS server when a new device connects to it. The DNS and reverse DNS is automatically added. I use the 11.0.0.0/16 zone. It's not a good practice at all,

Quite neat, and solves a big problem I had (devices at customers sites). However for me it would be very hard to trust you (security and availability wise). I opted (some months ago when the problem arose), to simply set up a private VPN s

Power = amps × voltage . So no. They are 10kA × 3kV (well, depends on the line), so that gives us 30MW.

Spain does the same. With you ID card chip, you can: - sign your emails digitally - login to secure websites with your id card (bank, DMV, taxes, …). Sometimes you can only do it with the ID card - they opened many of their tools, so you ca

The CERN LHC tube is a 27km circle of vacuum and near-zero temperature, and they don't seem to have a problem with that (granted, they had some but it's solved now). Frankly, yes, there may be issues, but I'm confident that t

It would be more logical to to put units at the end, as the SI norms say. eg: USD 24k is a bit stupid, whereas 24 kUSD is more clear. It's even worse with things like 1/(USD 800/kWp) which gives things like:.8kWp/USD 1 ?

I would say a second hand T420(s) T430(s) or equivalent. There are plenty of them due to companies renewing their stock every once in a while. I got mine (T430) for 300€ whereas it sold new for 1200+€. I had a T420s before. It sadly died fa

Thats not true. If you suppose a 12V 420Ah battery, its capacity will be of 5kWh. That would require at least 0.5l of fuel. But with a typical efficiency of 30%, it will require 1.6l, and not 0.1l.
