I guess I'm coming from: I feel like we're in a relatively cushy bubble so maybe let's talk bubble-external impact? I think this is a good thing that a private company is doing. They're benefitting from PR, but they'

I'll agree on the hole-in-the-ground schtick which I guess I attribute to a social experiment. As far as the border property, I wish more people of consequential power/capital would follow their lead and buy up border property. Th

Happy to! First, I chose the word "objectively" in the sense that win/wins are still possible in consumeristic markets. I think most businesses would have taken a flexible $100k USD and spent it on marketing or expansion or s

Hi! Thanks for responding! I'll admit I was dismissive in my attempt at brevity so thank you for challenging me. I didn't intend to shut down discussion. I was countering the flood of commentary around what I perceived as issues a

Oh hey, on top of the prevalent skepticism and detractions in the current discussion, I'll just throw out that, on its own, this is objectively a Good Thing. I won't dismiss the fact that this is good PR for CAH, but it is still m

I have a feeling that it's a smarmy communication for legitimate legal concerns. That doesn't make the relativism any less legitimate but,

$15 is a roughly a single meal. Are we suggesting that $15 spent towards entertainment is exceptional or excessive for anyone below middle-class, ? If that's true, than surely we're worse off than we're all aware of.

Ah, sorry, I used to work in the Opera House on the West side of West Wacker, which doesn't have a connection. Blue line => East side of the loop is pretty navigable.

The stained glass hallway is the most depressing part of my commute in the winter. It's always a mess and very poorly lit. Also, the pedway in Chicago is more of a collection of disconnected minipedways. You definitely can't cross

This is pretty neat! I'm honestly surprised they didn't stagger this update with a new tiered availability pricing, kind of like the discounted S3 option for reduced redundancy.

This is very disappointing. DNAinfo Chicago was the best source for neighborhood coverage. I'm sad and more than a little bit outraged on behalf of the staff and reporters. Sorry all :(

That's surprising to me! My main complaints of Angular 2+ are around testing, but I've had nothing but love for React testing (enzyme, chai, karma) EDIT: whoops, mistyped. We don't use karma anymore in our React testing stack
