"Please don't waste your breath saying "costs will come down." They haven't been, and they're not going to." Yes, every new technology has always stayed exorbitantly priced in perpetuity.

The UK leads in this space as a previous PM had his newborn die of a genetic disease. Amazing the domino effect.

John is not exactly used to interviews. I was more concretely referring to the level of talent in the engineering team, for example Lilian Weng and Horace He. Horace can probably produce $50M of revenue personally per year.

Please investigate the team she has assembled and it will be clear $5B isn't outside the realms of reality.

Tried a replication here. The LayerNorm kernel is not numerically stable so cannot be counted as valid. They only test with zero mean and unit std, so the catastrophic cancellation doesn't show up until after. EDIT: looks like they

399 from YSeq seems fine for 30x coverage. Gemini says a reasonable cost estimate from saliva to SNPs is $163.84 - $211.84 using Ultima $80 for sequencing (funny that sequencing is no longer the bottleneck on cost). FASTQ is fine but I'

Thanks for the tip on ySeq. I think there is some sort of middle ground here. Although 99% of consumers don't care about privacy, it's an org risk as we saw with 23&Me. A consumer focused, privacy heavy but cloud based platfor

"every company i've worked for that does personal testing eventually gives their data to someone: other companies, or law enforcement." Why isn't there a privacy focused company that just doesn't do this.

Why isn't there a company that just "wraps" Illumina. Zero partners minus the Illumina machine. Seems obvious.

Agree there are obviously still issues, but you've just made the case yourself. We are discussing Flight 9 for Starship ~5 years into development. 10 years into the development of SLS we won't even see launch 2. They just operate
