What's a path for something like Twitter or Facebook to die that isn't slowly fizzling out of existence like MySpace? Is there a chance that they run out of money even with that bazillion users still using them daily?

If you have the right hardware it can work as good as a real Mac. But some hardware is just not compatible and that's it, nothing you can do about it.

All the Mac OS apps in that "whoa, this is pretty neat!" territory always cost at least $20.

Looks like a pretty neat idea. Would've been nicer if I could actually scroll the webpage..

I wonder if making it standalone will be a part of the whole 'ditching IE legacy' process?

I wonder if MS is going to end up open sourcing Edge? Between this and the fact that Visual Studio Code uses Chromium, it really seems like where MS should head, but who knows.

My first tabs of the day are usually Feedly, Twitter, and a couple of small forums I frequent. This is the stuff that I have in my Feedly: http://i.imgur.com/JhWObdA.png

I know Cydia for iOS does the "app store" thing, paid apps and all. Don't really know how that's implemented, but other than that, it's APT based.

Yeah. Love my T420 to death, but boy do I wish I could do a screen upgrade. If T60 could get a 2048x1536 panel, why can't we get a 1080p one or at the very least a 900p one that doesn't suck?

The Roskomnadzor requests, though. So ridiculous. It's not even code they wanted removed, but instances of a non-serious copypasta.

I've been wondering for quite a while, with most of what Flash is used online for getting replaced by HTML5 stuff (games and etc.), has a suitable replacement popped up for Flash as an animation tool?

Wouldn't it be more practical to just use a virtual machine in your main OS?

1366x768 is a joke. 1920x1280 is actually a pretty nice resolution, even if not a very common one.

If you want iOS development, you have no choice but to use OS X. I suppose in this case you are not really limited to just Apple devices, though. My ThinkPad T420 runs OS X 10.10 perfectly, for example.

Hmm, that is a very good point. Still, I look forward to the day when our ability to explore space gets far enough for focusing on aesthetics and making pretty crap to not be something unreasonable.

Wouldn't it be great if NASA got a budget so big they could actually start worrying about aesthetics, though?

To be honest, I can't see myself ever spending $10k even on an ordinary luxury watch, if I was in position to do so. Much less so with an electronic one that will most likely be obsolete in a year.

No (standard) USB port. Weird. I wonder if it'll ship with a USB cable? To be honest, the one USB device that I use the most is my mouse, and I suppose Apple expects me to get a wireless one, and that is fine. But what about stuff like
