In some system apps it's deeply embedded, others not at all. e.g. The Google phone dialler which is pre-installed on a lot of phones can bring up the phone number for nearby places without them being in your contacts.

Have you considered making your database available for download as Parquet format so people could just copy the file to S3, Google Cloud, etc, and query it immediately with various tools? I know it can be done with CSV but it's not as

That's good to know, though I'm skeptical for the future and it doesn't appear to be in the policy itself from my read through. They'll have to tackle email exhaustion eventually, and so far they don't seem interest

Unfortunately if you stop paying for fastmail or your Google account becomes inactive, they terminate your account and the email address becomes available for a new user. I think the concern that your email address is subject to takeover is

I expected someone to write a rust-based scripting language which tightly integrated with rust itself. In reality, it seems like the python developers and toolchain are embracing rust enough to reduce the benefits to a new alternative. htt

That's correct yes, if AMD is bought then the cross-licensing deals terminate in both directions - i.e. Intel also lose access to the AMD patents. It's a poison pill which means Intel themselves would be the only serious buyer.

The modular hotels I've seen built like this come with each room pre-plumbed, pre-wired, etc. You just "plug in" each room to the central connections.

Google considers that passkey with biometric authentication as multi-factor. The device in your hand being the first factor, and the biometric value as the second factor. Whether you consider that strong enough is a question for each of us

Or they just optimistically connect to both TCP/443 and UDP/443, create both a HTTP/1 and HTTP/3 connection in parallel, then see which one responds quicker. This already happens with some major apps.
