SO, know anyone in China we could talk to about this? I suspect the trick is to find a way to create a curved touch-sensitive surface. I'm tempted to do a render and setup a Kickstarter for this, but I'd like to make sure that someone makes

So why doesn't anyone make a "Forever Globe" that projects from the interior of the globe the image of the world onto the exterior of the globe? You could then update countries as you go, and even add things like the weather, etc.

Then there are those of us who have unique enough names that you can pretty much look us up and find there's only two in the whole US (and we're related). Having been a DBA at one point, it's always fun to tell folks that "really, if you ju

Have read the article, and read through all 97 comments that had been left here as of the time of this posting. And this comes back to something I know has been discussed at least a few times before. Essentially that many good sites started

But the article pointed out that 22% of the dollar store audience is now people making over $70K - and that was what I was referring to.

Sorry, but why the Downvotes? I'm quite serious that some apps that would make it easier for you to find Dollar Stores near you - or better yet that would show you who has what in stock would help the adoption of shopping there by folks who

All very interesting, but it sounds like one thing this area is missing are the apps and social media links that might help grow the 22% part of their audience into an even larger share. I presume there are folks on here who could help fix

Really. I'm half tempted to start a startup just to be able to use a service that is that responsive. Anyone want to push forward with the Trails version of Google Street with me? :-)

My feature requests (as they have been for every service I've tried from Flickr, to 500px, to Smugmug): 1) Let me upload my RAWs. Better if you can display them as is, but at least do what Adobe does and show the embedded JPEG if not. 2) Al

Just because this came up in another forum where I've also asked for help - this is happening on three different routers (TrendNet, Linksys, and Cradlepoint). All of them are on the latest firmware, and all of them work just fine with my iP

But how will I get the pictures back from that webcam on demand and for a reasonable price? I wouldn't mind paying for both of us to go up there if that was going to be the lion's share of the cost. But since the trip is maybe 1% of the cos

Maybe I'm just the odd one out (ok, I KNOW I'm just the odd one out in general, but still), but I find that I use my boss too. First off, it's hard to play good cop, bad cop to get someone to change their mind if someone isn't willing to pl

Perhaps. But if I'm more interested in checking our Bear Lake, or the summit view from Longs Peak (rather than the view of Longs Peak from 30 miles away), or some of the waterfalls along the Glacier trail, then there isn't anyplace where I

Several of these appear to already exist (such as the crowdsourced editing). Then there is your webcam deal that hits a personal pain point - anywhere sufficiently exotic will be Mega expensive to get a signal out of. Heck I'd pay for 50 we

Having seen several folks here mention Austin specifically, why isn't the Austin startup scene as hot as the NYC one - particularly given the cheaper costs in general? I have family so I would have issues with trading hours for equity (thou
