The current lineup of late night "comedians" is just horrible ... I miss john stewart - did he write his own stuff?

I just made a comment that pretty much is aligned with yours. Taking a victory lap on inflation numbers is just silly. There's some serious rot going on atm. We're probably a small disaster away from a really big problem.

These numbers are borderline meaningless for the average American. Economists, wall street, and financial news pundits can go back and forth all they want, the average person is most definitely feeling a massive crunch and a percentage numb

Not if you're independent, resourceful, and motivated to learn. Is there some risk in not going to college, yeah, maybe - but young adults have many years to 'figure it out'. Not all answers lie in institutional credentials.

Can we talk about the inflation related to the value of the degree as well? A college degree in 1983 is worth alot more than one in 2023.

Unless you're loaded, its most def a rip off. After the restaurant gets their share, the government fee/taxes, employee wages, doordash fees, delivery driver wages ... 5-10% of the bill is actually food cost.

You could cook a meal for a family of 5 for ~ $20, likely way less. Unless its pizza, sounds like it'd be closer to $100+. Using these delivery apps feels akin to buying a bottle of water at a concert or alcohol from a hotel mini bar.

One annoyance I have with VC funded startups is how they all try and use the same playbook. Founders are generally inexperienced. Likely good ICs, very good talkers, but not capable of holistically building a company from the ground up. The

Fortunately, from my experience, most "visitors" to National Parks, simply drive around and take photos from scenic views. I suspect if trail and off-trail traffic increased, we'd hear alot more stories like this.

Good, the less profits soda companies have, the better. Its bad for you regardless of the sweetener. 35-40 grams of sugar per 12 oz can. Insanity.

How come self hosting email is such a pain in the ass? I use Proton, its okay, I feel better about it vs Gmail/Gsuite, but its no where as good, feature wise. If I could self-host email, I'd feel good about my tool stack, but I si

Wasn't the arab spring heavily organized over social media? If the government can force social media companies to enforce certain flavors of moderation, it seems like they could get away with this too.

I see, appreciate the breakdown. I could see this being popular with upcoming CS2 and similar games. The price tag seems a bit steep though. But I guess they need to make money on the hardware.
