Until retroactive DRM is injected into old titles and we can't play single player games w/o verification. Brought to us via Microsoft (after they buy Valve).

AAA studios are probably working on platforms for this as we speak. Gamers are a gullible bunch - preorders, microtransactions, special editions, remasters. They tolerate it all. Gaming has to be one of the most rich sectors of consumerism

The media circus around this reminds me of Taylor Swift and her new boyfriend. There is more than one "AI" company. Very bizarre.

Given Microsoft is an apparatus of the US federal government and globalization in general, I suspect TPTB are pretty content with this outcome.

Microsoft has a long tradition of stifling competition. They can't really do it out in the open anymore, so the acquihire method seems brilliant - certainly cheaper than litigation or fighting things out in the court of public opinion

Yay! More consolidation. Honestly makes you wonder if they whole thing was manufactured from the inside. 10-15 years ago, I didn't have Microsoft on my 2023 bingo card for world domination.

Its not just boomers. Recently was in a major US city, a walkable one, for a work offsite. The plan was office -> happy hour -> dinner. We're talking a 7-12 min walk MAX between places. Entire team insists on Ubering everywhere.

Kinda strange how they forgot to include the big stimulants, like Adderall and Vyvanse, in the study. My guess its impossible to incorporate a placebo with amphetamines. College kids are taking those, not Ritalin or Concerta, lol.
