Despite all my love to Rust, I completely agree.

I thought it's the list of awesome CTO persons and I was going to promote one I know... Looks like it's not. Upd.: and now it's renamed, of course.

> why continue to pay 5% on top of payment fees? Because without Upwork weekly charges clients might “forget” and “postpone” and “delay” payments. 5% is ok to know that money will be paid by the schedule.

My first project was 16 years ago. I’ve switched to freelance 8 years ago. So your assumption that I’m just a crying kid who can not manage his time is offensive. I’ll give you a hint: think how a client can abuse this.

I work 8 years on Upwork and I only work with this feature. Initially, I was hostile to it, but later one “accident” helped me to realize the whole purpose of this feature: disputes. When client don't want to pay, they have 2 ways: 1)

Try methods "is_err", "is_ok"; or for Option: "is_some", "is_none".

Error handling in Rust is the most appealing feature for me. Not performance. I really can not understand people who want to ignore error cases or write their code pretending that error will never happen. All of these "unwrap", &q

My experience is quite contrary :) I prefer to not use ORM (even if I wouldn’t mind, clients often ask me to work with the DB directly, without ORM), and every selected column matters - in terms of performance and amount of transferred data

For all of what? Your school didn't have math lessons ("hours")? Maybe some schools didn't have computer rooms, but I'm sure we all had math lessons.

My son has similar experience. He moved few schools already and every time teachers are mostly “meh”. This time we aren't changing the city of living, but looking for a better school for him :)

If you are trying to make a joke, then it wasn't funny. I meant what I wrote. I wrote it for those who might think that my comment is a form of sarcasm.

Maybe your school sucked. Not mine - it was the only place where I could use a PC, write some programs. Also, math - I miss so much the times when I could study math and solve complicated math exercises... Ahh... It was a magnificent time.

Not sure how you can compare then. You can’t do with the threads what you can do with async functions.

Maybe you need to read the whole article, there is more than just that. For example, they use as evidence the experiment (on a small group of people, without a control group, without attempts to repeat it - everything to be called anti-scie
