Ah yes, nothing like giving unsolicited advice without even knowing what medical condition the other person has. You mean well, but it's a crude oversimplification to think every problem is just a matter of just work out the same way I

The topmost comment in this comment thread starts with the fact that there are over a thousand studies on this already, no? Even if the whole effect isn't well understood, it seems like there is some science behind this.

Sinus rinsing is one of those things that gets recommended a lot without thought. For many conditions, it's great relief, but on the flip side, if you have e.g. inflamed sinuses or the like, it can make your condition considerably wors

How come every time there's a new fear unlocked, it's adjacent to the sea. Drowning, rogue waves, being eaten by a whale, none of it is a good time.

If that's true, then where did all the order that is there come from? Lots of open questions in that regard, plenty to agonize over.

Drones are used in active warfare as we speak, legality in civil use is pretty irrelevant in that context.

I use this a lot too, often with cherry-picks and reverts that can't be merged into this or that branch yet, too. It's very convenient and works everywhere without installing anything.

You haven't outlined why this is a problem? Population growth overshot with expanding abundance and developed countries are now normalizing to a more sustainable level.

This idea gets floated pretty much every time the spam discussion comes up, and it would only work at the cost of the free internet. If the return from spam is marginally higher than the cost, there will still be spam. On the other end of t

Current state of the art is not good enough, save for trivial changes. Cursor scans your whole codebase so it has more context than other models, but even that easily gets stuck in loops when the problem is a bit more involved, suggesting o

Is this from the article that was on the front page a few days ago? If so, it's not true. The title was intentionally misleading, they said they're the best, but if you read the article it was that they're actually the best i

The problem is resource consumption. On some of my servers, scrapers, bots etc make up a vast majority of both the bandwidth and CPU usage when left unchecked. If I didn't block them, I would need to pay for a beefier server. All the w

Cool tech, but few things are scarier than the illustration in the article. Hello, would you like to strap an explosive around all of your vital organs?

Hopefully a wholly undefendable patent, you're essentially trying to patent the Unicode spec. The rest of it is perform an action in response to a text message which clearly isn't novel.

Out of curiosity, why SHA-256? I would wager using a non-cryptographic hash would be faster, no? In this context you don't need any of the crypto properties of it, so that could be an easy performance improvement for your cache. It see

I've seen both sides of this idea many times, and from my personal experience, this idea looks good on paper, but usually implodes in practice. Bootstrap gives you a baseline quickly, but what pretty much universally happens is that at

I would say regex is usually pretty write once edit never. Building a prototype that tries to look beyond that is a great way to see what a better future might look like in this regard.

Most studies I've seen on this topic agree that the amount of pollution created is not linear, and this also makes intuitive sense. The heavier your vehicle, the wider and/or larger diameter your tires need to be to give it the re

Why would that be? There are plenty of local offerings and they're often cheaper, too. They might not be as well marketed or polished, but at the end of the day, most businesses just need some servers, nothing fancy.
