I'm not sure if the US and public healthcare are a positive word combination exactly. Having an agency doesn't mean the outcomes are good.

How does this idea compare to the rationale presented by Rich Sutton in The Bitter Lesson [0]? Shortly put, why do you think biological plausibility has significance? [0] http://www.incompleteideas.net/IncIdeas/BitterLe

The whole point of this CVE is what do you do when the input you're parsing is so large that you run out of space before you can terminate. Tail recursion helps in the sense that the issue will happen later, but it isn't a fix whe

I don't think this argument really matters. Consumer drones are being used in active warfare today, as we speak, with minimal modifications. The cat is out of the bag no matter which way you look at it. You could just as well say that

I feel similar ever since the 3.7 update. It feels like Claude has dropped a bit in its ability to grok my question, but on the other hand, once it does answer the right thing, I feel it's superior to the other LLMs.

Does it really need a control when many countries across the globe have independently tried it out and reached the same conclusion? I would say the results are pretty clear.

Wouldn't be surprised if the prices are fairly low actually, I would wager most of these projects make no income.

In a way, it's incredibly hilarious that due to AI, modern companies have to essentially resort to what used to be a common way among 4channers to ensure someone is a real person — ask them to put a shoe on their head.

The difference here is that with Typescript, you're not really measuring Typescript's performance, but whatever your output language is. If transpile to Javascript, you're measuring that, if you output Wasm, you measure that,

You could, but currently I'm not aware of any widely used options. Both Deno and Node turn it into Javascript first and then run that.

I don't think it's misleading at all, because you can't run Typescript. Typescript is either compiled, transpiled or stripped down into another language and that's what gets run in the end.

This might be an oddly specific question, but do you think performance improvements like this might eventually lead to features like partial type argument inference in generics? If I recall correctly off the top of my head, performance was

For the love of all that's holy, never ever ever use the user's IP address to determine their locale, language preferences or anything similar. It works for the majority of the users and is an absolute nightmare for the rest. Can&

This would require you to have root access to the thing, at that point you might as well write literally any code you like and not bother with the HCI commands.

I don't really see how this is an issue? As far as I can tell, the above product does not host what you make, you have to find a place and upload it yourself when you're done with the editing.

Humans have been trying to figure cancer out for a very long time now. If it was as simple as take more aspirin, get better odds of survival, we would've found that out a long time ago. Unfortunately, medicine is not that straightforwa

This is speculation, but I think there's a way to do it without much pain at all. I've built a few VSCode extensions and the extension framework is extensive and robust and it has well defined boundaries. The only problem you'

Since many (all?) of these new wave LLM code editors are just VSCode forks, the cost both to switch and to later switch back is basically zero. At most, you need to change or relearn a few shortcuts and that's it. (I'm ignoring pu

I'm not really sure if I can agree on stability. For all its warts and flaws, you can largely still write React 18.x the same way you wrote React 0.x. There's many new features and fancy tools in your pocket, but underneath it all

That's still a manual type assertion though, and if a regular usage pattern demands one, then the library is doing it wrong. Regardless of how you annotate it, every manual override reduces the effectiveness of the type system.
