I think you need to adjust the pricing page graphics to reflect there are three purchase options, not just two subscription options. Many people, myself included, will not use subscriptionware.

It's a bit hidden but you can still license a standalone version.

I wasn't aware of this change, so I read the entire linked support thread. Although the company responders did some nice verbal gymnastics, I think it is pretty obvious that this is just mainly just a money grab on behalf of AgileBits.

I was recently playing with ed[1] and in some ways, it felt like a shell for text files. In fact, I found myself wishing for Readline integration.

Nice to see that someone else likes this translation. Mitchell's version was the first version I was exposed to and I prefer it to the others I have read (even though other versions may be more a more accurate translation).

This is the problem with surveillance technologies: they frequently end up being used not just against enemies, but anyone who disagrees with the government or threatens the status quo. Sadly, this happens even in democratic "free"

Personally, I like using NetBSD's Almquist Shell, which formed the basis of Dash. It is small and has the command line editing and tab completion features that I can't live without. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki&#x

I am running El Capitan and I have not really had any issues with it. It is largely just a refinement to the previous release.

IMHO, the problem is the influence of people who are obsessed with turning Linux in to a desktop environment. Personally, I am more concerned with Linux being a good version of Unix. In my opinion, the SystemD is anti-Unix and should be shu

A lot of the people I know who own Kindles never connect it to their computers. They literally obtain everything via Amazon or via Amazon's conversion services. EDIT: now that I think about it, Kindles don't come with power adapte

From what I've observed, the biggest issues with Windows 10 are policy issues. Forced upgrades, forced telemetry, and deceptive/annoying attempts to get people to upgrade to it from Win7 and Win8.

I loved BeOS. I bought and ran versions 4.5 and 5.0 Pro. I also owned a copy of Scot Hacker's BeOS Bible; which I read front to end. I visited the BeNews and BeOS Tips websites almost everyday. As for BeFS itself, it was a pretty aweso

I feel bad about what Windows has become. I really thought that Microsoft had turned a corner with Windows 7, which I really liked, but every release since has been disappointing.

I don't personally have a problem with ads being displayed. What I have a problem with is Google building profiles of people who are not Google users.

So the solution is a unethical, privacy invading, profile building company run by a guy who thinks his users are "dumb fucks"? No thank you.

I understand that but most people are only concerned about the presidential elections. The turn out on the off years reflects this.

I've always thought that the national election day should be a holiday; especially since we have an extra day due to leap years and voting years coinciding (well, except for years ending in 00 that aren't equally divisible by 400)

I hope the author gives people the option of turning off syntax highlighting or to set a no colors option. Sometimes I find Vim annoying because it doesn't have a command line option for this; like Emacs does.

I actually don't mind advertising. I think it is fair in return for free content. But I have problems with the way many sites do it, because: 1. I don't want autoplay videos (annoying) 2. I don't want animated gifs (makes it
