These consoles were released in 2020. 2028 is 8 years later, pretty much the usual cycle length.

I doubt they are doing mid gen refreshes this time. Previous gen it made sense due to 4K TVs getting traction, this time even 2 years into the new cycle consoles are still hard to find, some have already even increased prices (PS5) and MS i

Some of the ones I’m interested in so far: Horizon: Call of the Mountain, Firewall Ultra, Resident Evil: Village. I’d love if they add VR support to Gran Turismo 7 but they haven’t announced anything related to this one.

Some games presented the Dual Shock 4 controller visually tracked in game, even if they managed to do a compatibility layer those games still relied on tracking the DS4 controller light via the camera. But at least some devs have confirmed

I’ve been to Tokyo and other cities in Japan, and I would gladly trade what you consider ugly for their cleanliness. I live in Barcelona and not even Gaudi’s architecture can distract you from the amount of dog feces and piss that are rampa

2080 is when they introduced RT and the card performed in raster gfx about the same as the 1080. And support for RT was coming in the future so it kind of makes sense it was priced the same.

I think it’s pretty obvious most people using Switch emulators are getting the games on the net for free. So it’s awkward to show that on promotional material of another handheld device.

It probably won’t or be locked to an specific version where only a subset of games will work, provided you never go online etc.

Cramming a PS3 on the PS4 made no sense, unless you wanted a 599 dollars console vs a 399 dollars. PS3 had a shaky launch precisely for that reason, it launched at 599. The PS4 launched at 399 (a hundred bucks cheaper than the Xbox One btw

This has been patched already and newer games will require the latest OS version. It has become increasingly difficult to really hack these consoles.

The pandemic was tough on the supply chain of many things, including consoles. Supply has been improving though my guess is next year it will be available in most stores. It is still on high demand they are selling all they make.

AFAIK you cannot even use an Xbox for the 1st time without connecting it to the internet. PS on the contrary you can pop a game and it runs offline. But it seems they have been working on removing these constrains which are truly crucial fo

If this guy really has the source code of both 5 & 6 this obviously will add more development time. This one of the biggest games specially due to its online functionality, if bad actors have code related to that it’s no bueno.
