I started learning Swift in my fifties and by god am having a blast. Already finished an iPad app for my daughter and there is no better gratification than seeing her playing and learning with it.

S-expressions will take you ten seconds still nobody uses them. YAML is made to simplify the lives of the reader and the writer, not the parser. Let the parser suffer, let the coder rejoice. You pick your own level of suffering, I pick mine

Swift. The best tool in your toolbelt. You could easily build apps for the desktop, mobile, server, watch, tv, linux, etc. It's the digital clay to build whatever you want to build. Your imagination is the limit.

I'm coding all my apps in Swift and I am never going back. Server, desktop, mobile, tv, watch, linux, embeded, etc. One language to rule them all.

Naysayers. The world will pour billions of dollars in Swift the coming years and they will keep complaining about it. The most important advantage of Swift is that it allows you to code from the server to the desktop, mobile, watch, tv, IoT
