I agree that they should not seem like a Hanes shop unless the goal is to get acquired by Hanes. If that were the case, I would instead focus on selling gillette manpacks and getting acquired by Proctor & Gamble (they have more money).

CC hackers rely on selling hundreds and thousands of numbers a time to make any money. It makes sense that most of their business comes from repeat customers, in which case scamming them isn't in their best interests.

Apple's open source page is as useful as having Tivo's open source code. If they won't let me code for the iphone on my pc then it's hardly useful or open.

The Windows Experience score has a lot to do with 3D Graphics. A significant difference between Windows 7 and Vista is that 7 only accepts WDDM drivers while Vista takes XDDM and WDDM drivers. This means all older video cards are not direct

Exactly! It was so tough for me to change from Opera to chrome. But chrome is much more minimal and the faster load time was enough of a killer feature for me to switch. But this version is pretty impressive.

This is fantastic. I guess I agree that most people don't need the latest and greatest processor - just like a car. But the faster you can run a simulation or compile code the better. It's not always just about web browsing and games on a p

I would shudder at the thought. You already have it built and have no use for the iphone development environment so there is no use to accept the hefty split in purchase price with Apple. Only positive is getting listed in the App Store. An

Check out pcfinancial.ca. Here in Canada I thought we were totally behind on just about everything the states has. That was until I tried living there. Banking in the states is so fragmented and difficult! The big banks were a nightmare to

Very happy about seeing a Cappuccino app. I can see myself using this. I'm concerned about the lack of an "export" mechanism. Being able to export to html would be ideal. At the very least, having a PDF or other universal format file that I

I disagree with everyone who commented on HN and on the guy's site. The point of asking someone about their past failure is not to put them on the spot and test their oratorical skills. It's not to see how they overcame failures and ended

I upvote to bookmark only. Unfortunately it means I don't upvote items that should be upvoted. I upvote comments though. I wish there was upvoting and stars for bookmarking.

This is a fantastic site from what I can see right away. I hope you guys can open-source this effort or package it into a ready to use cms for other clubs/organizations to use. Even if you charge for it I would be your first customer. Bravo

keep it a side gig. You won't need to invest much and can keep it limited in terms of time commitment. A basic website with what you do and your hourly rate is great. Don't start listing prices for other stuff or getting fancier description

Was YouOS flash based as well? I tried this out and it's fairly impressive. But there was some lag in using it which I suspect is because of all the Flash.

Wow! This is a fantastic service. I can't believe it's free. The 15GB alone should cost me at least 5$ a month. I hope they keep it free and look for more distribution deals ala the Opera browser model. They can make a ton of money. They're

The article misses a very important point. Carriers have very thorough certification processes. Imagine each of these companies having to certify each device. They would go bankrupt! Well maybe not, but they would not make any money to make
