I believe you just need to be a European resident, although how you define that is the crux. Realistically if you have a way to prove an address you reside at in Europe, that should be sufficient.

That includes citing your work that is unpublished (there are valid ways to cite unpublished work), and building on it which would be fine in many cases.

Absolute risk vs relative risk. Both are useful in different contexts, but from the aspect of a single flight, arguably the absolute risk is more important.

You would need an awful lot of it over a rationally long period of time though. Also for humans seems to have the opposite effect if anything.

South Yorkshire can be hilly which may account for black spots. Not a good excuse, but a challenge mobile providers don’t see often enough in the UK to sufficiently account for.

Do you have a source to say most of the money goes to middle management? My understanding was management employment numbers and costs have reduced over the last decade, but I’m happy to be shown to be wrong via up to date evidence.

Nice article, and love a good pen. But I often struggle to find notebooks with consistently nice paper for fountain pens and fine nibs. Anyone got any recommendations?

Hopefully automation will help somewhat. But really we need to invest more in treatments for ageing and senescence, which is woefully underfunded.

Is that not the same as saying maths is solved thanks to spreadsheets/excel? All of science and technology is to some extent automation and increased speed of what used to be slow and laborious.

And what benefit does having an idea in a training set have to me? The effect an idea has does not necessarily work to my benefit, perhaps the opposite. Your statements are perhaps true for faith matters and I commend your… religious zeal.

It does not prevent it, but it disincentivise it. Why share an idea, a method where it will be used before you can benefit, without any acknowledgement? In reflection the argument is linked to that of copyright and IP in general, mixed with

I think your view is a bit fatalistic. Reflecting on it, part of my issue is that of plagiarism which current AI systems are very good at, and very bad at giving credit/citations. The obvious conclusion to this though is a move away f

And perhaps why that is why ideas are not freely shared, which seems to be the new direction. Although even for freely given ideas plagiarism is not seen as acceptable, and current AI is a great plagiarism laundering method. A machine is n

The other impact of this strategy is very very slow narration. Stretch each word out. I feel I need to listen to most books at 1.5 speed just to get back to a normal cadence of speech.

Well how old is older than you? People read books, magazines, did crosswords, got drunk and socialised. Probably more sociable than now, but lots of solo activities existed before technology.

The whole process is dependent on advanced computer chips. If you prevent these being made, then you can prevent AGI. The question is how to prevent them being made with minimum side effects to other industries.

I wouldn’t personally disagree, but I’m more commenting on your style of arguing. Rather than seek discussion and truth you seek to force a view and discourage debate. This leaves us less informed, the truth less validated, and us all worse

Your argument style closes it to any counterpoint. Anyone in your head with a different opinion is weird or lying. Perhaps others have a different rationale to you?
