The more we harp on license, the less we can actually save. The problem isn't that it's GPL. The p problem is that GPL is as much a part of the copywrong system as any other license. Three years is inordinately long to support an

Yes. I use IRC to chat, to roleplay, to interact with people and the like. Basically, I both can't and won't use Discord (too much Google reliance - the client program is in unheaded Chrome). So I use IRC.

Pale Moon uses XUL, not WebExtentions, and provides (subjective) a better browser UX. Only major concern for mass adoption is that it doesn't support DRM content.

I'm on mobile, so it's not going to be as verbose as usual. In no particular order: Moving away from large corps, breaking up the homogeny of the web, keeping XUL alive, having a browser focused on the end UX rather than the UI an

I suggest that we instead switch to Pale Moon. Whatever you might feel about Moonchild, the browser is solid and reliable. All it really could benefit from would be a wider add-on dev community.

I learned to look at reply-to back when I used Juno & Netscape Communicator. Heck, Communicator used to warn you if reply-to differed from the displayed name.

What about the sending and reply-to address? If the account is actually compromised at a system level, that is an IT issue. Again, are people so trusting that they don't check when asked for confidential data?

You're right. The preference would be that each person has access to a single part of the black box and no access to anyone or any other part of the whole shebang. Either that or the old way of dealing with people involved in things t

For my own part, outside of OS and security software, which I feel should be 100% monolithic and black box, I'm fine with the idea of all text and code of every program and file being available to anyone who may wish to improve it.
