Beacon.enabled default is true, and the password manager defaults to sending passwords to a remote server. MozCo is not user friendly. Their main focus is on keeping the Google money flowing.

Piracy already came for them. Netflix digital video content is on a tracker usually within a few hours of release.

My one gripe here is that it's only available as an iOS program. I think it would be much more accessible if it had a web interface, or if it also had an Android program.

This may seem like an unusual question, but why does it matter what the subject matter became if the community was accepting and safe?

Rubber-ducking can be proactive though. And does it really differ if you're talking out your program to a rubber duck or if you're talking out your other challenges to something "else"? I would say they're pretty we

My biggest anti-Google is Zoho. They provide me Email, Drive, Docs/Sheets/Presentations, a full CRM, etc. As far as browser, on Windows I suggest Pale Moon, and on *Nix I suggest GNU IceWeasel-UXP. Maps, I'd go for OSM (Open

No, it would not be better. You are asking someone who is psychopathic and greedy to give up power, influence, control, and money. Short of forceful resistance (which isn't always necessarily violent - Gandhi used force but not violenc

Personally, I believe it would be worse. I'm in favor of free speech, and free online expression. Imagine what might happen to any of the pun-related subreddits, or r/keming if someone had to pay.

I'm on mobile, so I can't go looking up the exact quote. But, per FDR - the greatest President and greatest American - any business that relies on paying less than a living wage has no right to exist in this country. And a living

I would switch to Pale Moon instead of Firefox for the browser. Then again, I'd also add in FreeMind for mind-mapping.

Just gonna share a link here, and I imagine that you'll be able to figure out all of my comments on the whole situation by the fact that it's on top of my bookmarks - and that I use three of the Allied programs listed. http:/

Good idea here. If only Netflix would move to a 100% F/OS stack without proprietary WebDRM.

Oh, certainly. But when it comes to advocating for free software (and free hardware to run it on), the end line is nothing less than the end of proprietary software. I'm not worried about reaching the end goal today, just taking a stri

I will be very interested in this when they have a "give money, get laptop" situation set up. I'm glad to see more open hardware and software in the wild. But you'll have to excuse my skepticism as long as they need to r

Excuse me, but post-e10s Firefox is not anywhere near as fast as old Firefox. It's a slow mess that freezes constantly, and the switch from XUL to WebExtensions (and the changes to the rendering engine resultant from that) have made i
