Until this year, I wouldn't have expected to ever use it myself, but it's just so much faster and requires almost no visual attention. I couldn't imagine going back to pecking everything out on a touch screen now.

For what it's worth, I dictate most of my IMs, text messages, and some short emails through iOS' voice recognition, and it gets dictated punctuation (in English) correct 99% of the time. Android's probably does too, since that bug report th

Flickr and Tumblr have more in common than just the inability to buy a vowel. If the kind of things I've seen on Flickr have been allowed to exist for years under the Yahoo umbrella, I can't imagine that Tumblr's risque content is in any da

Somewhat related, it took me an embarrassingly long time to realize that browsers treat assets with different URL casing as different assets for purposes of caching. Three image elements that reference Foo.jpg, foo, jpg, and foo.JPG all requ

Nice work. This would take some work (more on the server's part than yours), but I think it would be more accurate if you tested the links for 301 redirects and consolidated the results accordingly. For example, in the ASP.NET tag one of my

I've tested the protocol-relative URL in every version of IE that was available on Browsershots about a year ago (which went back even further than IE6, IIRC). None of them had trouble with it.
