The radio-receiver metaphor doesn't go far enough as it still assumes a somewhat physical brain, but it helps at first untangeling yourself from materialism. If reality is nothing but a dream it would be no problem to dream up a brain

Reminds me of the short time when everyone used trillian or miranda to have ICQ, MSN and whatever else at once. Guess what, these protocols are all gone know, along with these multi-clients. Why keep stuff alive that's on the way out?
