I recognize this from some years ago, but it's not an issue any longer, as long as you go to a modern host (ie. Heroku). The old "optimized for PHP"-hosts still make things hard of course...

This looks similar to Django's migration system. There you change your model, and issue a "makemigrations"-command. Django then automatically generates python code that you run to change your database to sync with your model.

This is super sad. Chartio is a great tool, but not communicating clearly (that blog post is just marketing nonsense), and just leaving existing customers out to dry like this is not cool.

One attack model is the one described in the article, that the links leaks to someone where it shouldn't be. In that case, an encryption key that is set to expire[1], would limit the scope of that leak. Of course, if someone would scre

As a non-expert on lambda... Django encourages one function per view, and adding database calls, celery functions, maybe API calls, to your views make them quite big, and potentially slow to run. Running slow functions is not how lambdas ar

I'd say that Django is not a great fit for lambda. Lambda works best when you architect you code around it, with lots of tiny methods. Django does not encourage this way of coding (just like the other frameworks).
