More than that. Building a throwaway-transient-single-use web app for a single annoying use kind of makes sense now, sometimes. I had to create a bunch of GitHub and Linear apps. Without me even asking Codex whipped up a web page and a loca

This. So much. Nobody cares whether it’s AI or goblins under the hood. Just like nobody cares about how smartphones or the internet work. The only thing that matters to the majority of user is what it does for (or to) them. Apple’s marketin

Now with NFTs and pixel art, memorialising each and every one of your deleted emails in a unique and non-fungible way. … … Now I actually want to make it, and build a "card trading game" on top of it.

It's one of the things that surprised me when I first started using the compound engineering plugin. I've been considering adding a review gate with a reviewing model solely tasked with identifying gaps between the plan and the im

I’d say for these use cases it’s better to make it build the tools that do the thing than to make it doing the thing itself. And it usually takes just as long.

Oh, so many things. I guess that’s both the blessing and the curse of agentic ai today. The most fun is a simple Claude Code in a loop, Boucle, which builds and iterates on its own framework[0][1]. The first thing it built was a persistent

I’ve been running a Claude Code "thing" in a loop for a few days, and that has been extremely frustrating. But after tons of nudging it has started developing a sort of "improvement engine", as it calls it, for itself

I got it to build a stereoscopic Metal raytracing renderer of a tesseract for the Vision Pro in less than half a day. It surprisingly went at it progressively, starting with a basic CPU renderer, all the way to a basic special-purpose Meta

This is absolutely wonderful. Can’t wait to try it on iOS if the required APIs are available.

It’s funny. The whole “review intent", "learning" from past mistakes, etc, is exactly what my current set up does too. For free. Using .md files said agents generate as they go.

Trying to make a .xcframework from SPM is "fun". And getting the Objective-C that are generated, but treated as intermediary artifacts discarded is a bit of a pain. But I guess the issue here is that .xcframework is an Apple thing

Have you tried the compound engineering plugin? [^1] My workflow with it is usually brainstorm -> lfg (planning) -> clear context -> lfg (giving it the produced plan to work on) -> compound if it didn’t on its own. [^1]: https:

Parent wasn’t referring specifically to paid ads, just ads in general, and their omnipresence. And to your point: shops rarely own the building they’re on the ground floor of.

Even a sign on the street is basically an ad. That plastic cow or pig head telling you there’s a butcher or cheesemonger? It’s basically an ad. Possibly one of the oldest type too!

My feeling is the definition of the "AI look" has evolved as these models progressed. It used to mean psychedelic weird things worthy of the strangest dreams or an acid trip. Then it meant strangely blurry with warped alien script

Terry Pratchett’s Making Money portrays it quite well, imho. It doesn’t hurt that it’s an entertaining read. I was surprised to realise bank notes used to be tied to a bank, not a state.
