Why not just make it 18. Would simplify everything so much. With expectations that everyone is adult. No need to control the content anymore. Porn for example could be freely shared.

Easier maybe. But significantly worse. Parts of these systems have been build and engineered to be entirely reliable with automatic hand-overs when some component fails or with alternative routings when some connection is lost.

Now I am waiting for time when they move us-east-1 physical security to run in us-east-1... Thus locking themselves out when needing some physical intervention on servers to get backup.

Also, was anything verified before AIs. Or was something written just accepted as given without any real critical thought or considerations. Malice or agenda can be real. With AI it is incompetence but before AI real malice was a possibilit

I am not sure abot devops. But Cloud Computing likely has lot of science behind it. When done properly. They are not any less complex systems to reason about than just code. And I mean it as understanding and designing cloud platforms. Not

Someone should really take AI to these task. Let the agents run wild. Let them astroturf every possible platform in existence. Especially like this one here HN. Insert marketing messages to every post and every thread. There is not bad publ

OpenAI is going to get to AGI. And AGI should in minutes build a system that takes vague input and produces fully functioning product out of it. Isn't singularity being promised by them?

I think best hope against AI is copy right. That is AI generated software has none. Everyone is free to steal and resell it. And those who generated have zero rights to complain or take legal action.

What makes this whole thing even weirder for me is the similar fact that any output from AI might not enjoy copyright protections. So basically if you can steal software made with AI you can freely resell it.

By their promises it should get so good that basically you do not need to learn it. So it is reasonable to wait until that point.

Issue to me is that I or someone else bought those books. Or in case of local libraries the authors got money for my borrowing copy. And I can not copy paste myself to discuss with thousands or millions of users at time. To me clear solutio

You could have quotas for each program. And then just set exams differently for each. Removes the "general education" as major, but most other countries find that one insane thing in first place. University is already for speciali

Wyoming or Vermont at 1 million each would be sub trillion range. Seems like reasonable. Technically they could just transfer all the debt they hold to residents there and get deal done. Maybe they should try this one.

Monetizing open source never made sense for me. Mostly because I operate from selfish viewpoint. Why would I pay for something that is provided for free? It is starting to seem like I was right. You have to fund it from selling a product. O

I think finding that AI or at least specific model sold to be able to do something can't reasonable do it is entirely reasonable thing to publish. In the end it is on the model marketer to prove that what they sell can do what it says.
