Such great work. I'm amazed by the video. I wondered for a moment if they managed to tweak these apps (I'm a bit naive I guess). Never had a Mac but I remember as a kid when I went to a friend who had one. It was so fascinating to

I guess one possible fix would be for cloudflare to implement an option to disable the x-cache header for unauthorised users. This way Signal devs could still check their setup by sending authentication headers. But it would solve the issue

The attacker uses a patched version of Signal to be able to intercept requests and to block a get request to the attachment they have just created. At least it is my understanding.

It's not because you have a Hungarian number that you're not travelling somewhere else. I don't really understand the point.

Hi, author here. I'm learning about end-to-end encryption and decided to write a series of articles about my findings. I would love to get some feedback about the limitations and potential problems in my implementation or understanding

I agree. Being published by a big name gives you some credibility right away. The issue I personally had with the publisher I signed with (one that you mentioned) is the quality of their products. And I don't mean this specific publish

I should have mentioned this part indeed. Finding a publisher and following their process is already a hard path. But if you decide to self-publish (which I did) then a whole new story begins. Being a good author is not what matters at this

Oh boy. I can relate so much to this article and everything said here. I published a book last year and it has been a long journey. It took me one year and a half to write it. But then when you think it's done, it's just a second

I first thought this was trolling, but reading some reactions here and there it's probably not. I love how concise and clean Python looks. I would rather see other languages removing brackets.

I expected this article to be published by some hackers or defenders of privacy like EFF, not by a company whose goal is to fingerprint people. Such dystopian times.

This. That's why I feel we are all doomed regarding privacy. The only way we could maybe protect ourselves would be to all send manipulated but looking like plausible average data.

Update: I first had a naive approach and stored the full content of the text on each stroke. I updated the code with some small algorithm to reduce data and avoid storing the full text when a character was added or removed.
