This will get interesting for many CT transparency monitors which for many are already seeing scalability issues. I am operating https://www.merklemap.com/ and the current scale is already impressive.

The previous page behavior with the weird animation and reload is too horrible for that.

From my experience, Rust programs are consistently high quality, just work, and deploy easily. I've rarely seen any well-known Rust projects that are garbage. Since Rust is still emerging in the corporate world, those proficient in it

Webhooks are a classic example of premature optimization masquerading as "best practice". The irony in this blog post is palpable - they advocate for webhooks while simultaneously describing their fundamental weakness. A webhook s

How are 'top performers' and 'low performers' being defined in this context? In my experience, these labels in corporate environments often correlate more with social dynamics and political acumen than actual work output

I feel I may be an outlier here, but I love async functions (I mostly use Rust). I intuitively understand what will block and what won't, and can generally gauge the performance impact. I believe the few downsides are far outweighed by

This approach is generally seen as unwanted by website owners (it's worth noting that automated API clients are distinct from regular user agents). As a “reverse engineer”, you have no idea how expensive or not an endpoint is to proces

You know what performs better than redis in this setup? An hashmap. Why Postgres wouldn’t run on the same server as the app? It’s actually pretty common.

These platforms enable horizontal scaling, but ironically, many apps only need to scale horizontally because the base instances offer such underwhelming specs. It's frustrating to see engineering teams in 2024 spending countless hours
