I'm not a lawyer either, but isn't the word "claim" a term of art in law. Doesn't it have a specific meaning distinct from the common usage?

Sounds like you've got a "grass-is-greener" thing going on. Everything is good where you're at, but you feel you're missing something. I've felt that way. Go take a few interviews, and spend a few days in the

Exactly. If you have deeply nested data, multiple properties that may change, or arrays, then it becomes quite difficult (and/or slow) to test if there's a difference.

From my understanding, it makes shouldComponentUpdate() very simple: return nextProps.value !== this.props.value; If the object is different, it has changed.

Are the parents planning on doing (baby) sign language? If not, a book on how to do that would be, in my opinion, the best thing you could do. I don't know what the latest research says about later brain development with early sign la

I'm assuming this was a call with all the remote staff that edit the individual sites and live in the communities that the sites cover. I don't think they were going to fly them all into a central location to fire them.

I wish GOG.com would set up some US-based banking. I've stopped buying things from them, even though I want to, because my bank freaks out every time, due to "the high levels of credit card fraud originating from Cyprus".

You could always become an "architect" or a "lead programmer". Figure out the big chunks, and the details of the new/innovative little chunks, then delegate the grunt work to "junior programmers". Probably means a dull corporate gig, tho.

My take on it is this: In the 70s and 80s, Lego was low resolution. Block, 4 bit color. Now its just higher resolution (smaller pieces with more non-right angles), and higher bit-depth. Lego has just paralleled video game evolution.
